Meet Christi
Arlington Heights Portrait Photographer
why work with me
“I CAN’T GO BACK to have photos like these created of my daughter, BUT I CAN CREATE THEM FOR YOU.”
THE heart BEHIND THE LENSFAMILY PHOTOS — one of the few things that INCREASE IN VALUE with time.
Something incredibly beautiful happens when you blend real-life family moments with fine art photography. It’s hard to put your finger on, but it’s the kind of something that somehow bottles up the sacredness of life.
When I had my first daughter, everyone was deep into digital photography and Photoshop. Editing was overdone, and creativity meant strange props and unnatural posing (ever see flower headbands as big as baby’s heads or tiny babies curled up in buckets?). Nothing felt true-to-life.
Hi there — I’m Christi, a photographer based in Arlington Heights, serving the Chicago Northwest and North Shore suburbs. I’m so glad we found each other. I’m a mom of 5 (with 3 tiny babies in heaven), and I create timeless, film-like newborn & family photographs to honor the gift of family life. Because life really such a gift, isn’t it?
My heart is in it for the meaningful memories that should outlast us, as moms. Family is the very first place your child will understand what love means, and as they grow up it’s so important for them to have printed photographs to remind them that they were seen & cared for right from the earliest moments.
When I became a new mom, I couldn’t quite grasp how desparate I’d be for beautiful photos of her during those earliest years. I wish I knew that those photographs would be one the few things in life that would become more valuable over time.
I wish I could go back in time to have fine art photos created of my baby girl. Ones where I get to be in the frame too - loving her, admiring her. I can’t go back. But, I’d love to give that gift to you, mama.
“Christi’s photos beautifully capture GENUINE moments and are edited in a GORGEOUS timeless style.”
