With over 10 years in business and 15 years in motherhood experience, you’ll be in good hands during your Maternity Session. My motherhood has shaped every aspect of the CLP experience, guiding families through a simple, stress-free process that is the perfect blend of real-life family moments and fine art portraiture.

1. Discovery Call

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

Having someone come into your home during the postpartum stage is a vulnerable experience. It is so important to me that you feel completely comfortable about working together before booking.

A 10-minute call helps me better understand what you’re dreaming about for your session experience, allows you to get to know me, and helps us know if we’re a great fit.

2. Book your Session

limited bookings per month

I only take a limited number of sessions per month to give my full support and creativity to each family I serve. If you are pregnant and hoping for a Maternity Session, reach out now!

If we both feel confident about moving forward after your Discovery Call, you will fill out an Agreement & Questionnaire and also pay a Booking Fee to secure your session booking in my calendar.

3. Plan your Session

Once your session is booked, you’ll receive my exclusive CLP Newborn & Maternity Session Style & Prep Guide to take all the guesswork out of how to prepare for session day.

(hint: simple is the name of the game!)

4. Session Day

This is where the magic happens. You can relax and follow my lead as I give you gentle, natural prompts to enjoy moments of connection, tenderness, and joy.

Your session is a time to enjoy your family and I’m so honored to document it beautifully for you.

5. Ordering Session

let’s tie your session experience up with a bow, not a to-do list.

The best part - your Ordering Session! I will come back to your home (or meet you on a video call) for your gallery reveal & Ordering Session.

We’ll design any artwork you would like and I’ll take care of all the details to ensure you have something beautiful on it’s way to production.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Newborn Sessions should be booked about 3 months before your due date. This is the easiest time to get on my calendar, as I take a limited number of sessions per month. It also gives us plenty of time to plan your session details out without any urgency. The goal is a peaceful session experience and planning ahead a bit helps tremendously!

  • CLP Newborn Sessions most often take place at your home, because I believe that home is such an important memory to document. If you really have your heart set on a light, bright look and you do not have light, neutral walls OR maybe it actually feels less stressful to go somewhere else for photos, I do Newborn Sessions in a bright, natural light studio in Wheaton. Either way, we will document relaxed photos that feel a bit undone and very much true to life.

  • I will have you reach out to me with a day or two of baby being born, so that we can schedule a session within 10-14 days of baby’s birthday. If you have complications during delivery and are not feeling ready, there is no rush! Newborn Sessions are also great around 6-7 weeks old —you’re past the stage of baby acne at that point and often baby begins smiling!

  • Once your Newborn Session is booked, you will receive the exclusive CLP Style & Prep Guide to help you choose outfits and we will nail down outfits during your video call Planning Consultation. If you would like, I will put together a custom style board for each member of your family with shoppable links included. Styling is really important for the final look of your images and I can make it super simple for you.

  • CLP Sessions are known for their true-to-life, nostalgic feel, so natural hair and makeup is encouraged. That being said, makeup always get a little washed out with my light and film-like aesthetic. My professional makeup artists know how to perfectly prepare you for camera and help you show up confident and glowing to your session, I am happy to coordinate a private, in-home makeup session with one of my makeup artists. Coordinating is a complimentary service I offer. You pay artists directly.

  • All CLP sessions require a non-refundable $200 Booking Fee to reserve your session date & time and begin receiving personal support as you prepare for your session. The Booking Fee does not include any digital image files or prints products. Two weeks after your session, I will come to your home to guide you through an Ordering Session where we make your photo dreams come true by designing & ordering beautiful printed pieces to enjoy. No more digital gallery overload or decision fatigue. I have carefully vetted the highest quality, professional print lab vendors available and I will bring a curated collection of product samples right to your home. In under an hour, you will have your order done and print products on their way to you!
